This piece of wood symbolizes the inextricable bond between Harry and Voldemort. Both wands are depicted, each labeled with the name of the wizard it has chosen, because, as we all know: "The wand chooses the wizard." This is the only instance where we can truthfully say that these opposing wands are made of the same piece of wood.
